Specialist Accountants

Plan for the year ahead by UNDERSTANDING how you earn today.

Tax and Wealth Advisors is an accounting practice built around three industries — medical, social media and fitness. Structure, tax planning and reporting designed for the way your revenue actually arrives.

Industry Specialisation

Three industries. Three very different tax problems.

A specialist practice, a creator business and a fitness operation each have their own revenue shape, their own risk profile and their own ATO pressure points. We work in all three every week — so the advice starts at your specifics, not at a generic checklist.

Talk to us about your industry

Medical & Allied Health

Practices, service entities, contracted practitioners, locums and allied health clinics — where structure and payroll tax decide how much of the practice you keep.

  • Practice and service entity structures reviewed against current payroll tax positions
  • Contractor agreements, facility fees and the evidence behind them
  • Personal services income rules for registrars, VMOs and locums
  • Fit-out, equipment and depreciation planning for new rooms
  • Drawings, Division 7A and super strategy for practice owners

Social Media & Creators

Creators, influencers, podcasters and content studios — income arriving from a dozen platforms, in several currencies, with gifted product and brand deals in the mix.

  • Brand deals, affiliate income, gifted product and barter treated correctly
  • Foreign platform income, withholding forms and GST on overseas payers
  • What is genuinely deductible: production, kit, travel, home studio
  • Sole trader, company or trust — and when a big year makes the switch worth it
  • Setting money aside in spike months so tax time is never a shock

Fitness & Wellness

Studios, gyms, franchise operators and coaches — membership revenue, casual teams and equipment finance all pulling on the same cashflow at once.

  • Trainer engagement: contractor or employee, and the super and payroll tax that follows
  • Memberships, pre-sales and packs recognised properly in your numbers
  • Fit-out and equipment: buy, lease or finance, modelled before you commit
  • Site-by-site reporting so a strong location isn't hiding a weak one
  • Award coverage, rostering costs and STP for casual-heavy teams
What We Do

Everything the practice needs, nothing it doesn't

Compliance done properly is the floor, not the offering. The work that changes your position happens well before 30 June — in how you're structured, what you're holding, and whether you can see the numbers in time to act on them.

01

Accounting & Business Growth

The accounting function streamlined and kept current, then used as the basis for decisions — pricing, hiring, new sites, new offers.

02

Tax Planning & Compliance

A proactive plan run before year end, not a bill delivered after it. Returns, BAS and obligations handled on time, without chasing.

03

Asset Protection & Structuring

Clarity on which entity holds what, why it's held there, and what would be exposed if something went wrong on the operating side.

04

Cashflow & Management Reporting

Forecasts and reporting matched to how your industry collects revenue — billing cycles, membership dips, platform payout schedules.

05

Payroll, Super & Payroll Tax

Engagement models reviewed, thresholds monitored and STP kept clean — the area that quietly creates the largest exposures in all three industries.

06

Growth & Transaction Advisory

Modelling for a second site, a partner buy-in, a practice acquisition or an eventual exit — before the paperwork is signed.

The Approach

Four steps, then a rhythm

Onboarding takes a few weeks. After that it's a quarterly cycle, so nothing important gets discovered in July.

Step 01

Map

A consult that starts with your industry, your entities and the last two years of numbers — and names the exposures out loud.

Step 02

Structure

Fix what the structure is costing you. Entities, ownership and asset holding aligned to risk, tax and where you're heading.

Step 03

Plan

A written tax plan before year end, with the estimated position, the levers available and the deadlines that apply to each.

Step 04

Grow

Quarterly reporting and a conversation about what it means — so the next decision has numbers behind it.

Common Questions

Before you get in touch

Often, yes — the structuring, tax planning and reporting work applies broadly. The specialisation simply means that if you're in medical, creator or fitness, you won't spend the first two meetings explaining how your revenue works. Get in touch and we'll tell you straight whether we're the right fit.

It's routine and we handle it. Once you've engaged us, we write to your previous accountant for your records and history, take over the ATO agent link, and confirm what's outstanding. You'll have a short onboarding checklist; most of the lifting sits with us.

Fees are agreed up front, based on the entities involved and the work required, and can be paid monthly. You'll receive a written proposal before anything starts, so there's no invoice you didn't expect.

No — it's one of the more common reasons people call. We'll scope the catch-up separately, get you current, and then put a rhythm in place so it doesn't happen again.

Only if you'd like to. The office is at Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast and you're welcome there, but the majority of work runs over video, phone and secure digital signing for clients around Australia.

Your last lodged return and financials if you have them, a rough picture of your current structure, and the two or three things that are actually worrying you. That's enough for a useful first conversation.
